Vancouver Respite Care
For a lot of caregivers, taking care of their mom and dad is a full-time job. The idea of going out of town for a vacation or an unexpected short-term change in care needs, like doctor’s orders after being discharged from the hospital, are serious stressors for caregivers who already feel worn thin. If you’re a caregiver who needs some extra help for a few weeks or days, respite care might be the perfect fit.
Respite care provides the peace of mind of on-site care staff, prepared meals, and enrichment opportunities, without the long-term commitment. The Quarry offers Respite Care starting at $220.00 a day (this can change pending your mobility needs, diet needs, or if our Memory Care is needed). The Quarry requires a minimum of 14 days —up to 30 days stay.
Your Respite Stay will be in a studio or one-bedroom apartment.
These apartments are furnished with simple items to help you feel more like home. Although, it is important you also bring the following items:
- Clothing
- Pajamas
- Day Clothing
- Swimsuit, Exercise Clothing
- Slippers, Shoes
Personal Items / Incontinent Supplies
- Toothbrush and paste
- Comb or brush
- Makeup
- Shaving equipment
- Shampoo/Conditioners and Soap
- Depends, Pads, Wipes
As an Assisted Living Community, we are required to have up-to-date records from the respite resident’s Primary Care Physician. Additionally, our Director of Nursing will need to complete an in-person assessment. Preparation for a respite stay can sometimes take up to a week, so some notice is required. Respite care availability may fluctuate. Please call for current availability.
