Letter from the Flagstone Senior Living executive director

Letter from the Executive Director

Hi, and welcome to Flagstone Senior Living!

I’m Sharla, Flagstone’s Executive Director. Prior to coming to Flagstone, I worked in administration doing community outreach and physician relations for Mid-Columbia Medical Center, and I worked mostly with seniors. I absolutely loved working with seniors but wanted to expand my ability to help them. Having seen patients go through the rehabilitation process and often move into assisted living, I saw how much it improved their overall health and wellbeing. I also saw how much Flagstone’s staff truly cared about their residents. I wanted to be a part of that.

Now, as Executive Director, I could not be happier with my decision. Every day I wake up excited to come to work, looking forward to seeing our residents and staff. Every day I get to make a difference in people’s lives. Not everyone can say that.

At Flagstone we’re all caregivers, regardless of what we do when we are at work. We share the common goal of making our residents’ lives the best they can possibly be. You can teach people processes and procedures, but you can’t teach someone to be fun, to stay positive and to work with a great attitude, and you certainly can’t teach someone to care. Our staff at Flagstone truly cares, which is shown in the compassion, empathy and friendship we share with our residents and with each other.

So, if you’re considering Flagstone Senior Living for your mom or dad, I invite you to come in and see for yourself. Call me at 541-380-1282 or email me at executivedirector@flagstoneseniorliving.com to schedule a tour and see all that we have to offer. I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Sharla Mosqueda

Executive Director
