This facility is awesome and everyone that works there is great. all the staff is very focused on their residents. They have bingo almost everyday, they have piano players come in to play, they have more activities then I’ve ever seen in a assisted living..they keep everyone busy but also while they are having fun,they have fishing trips, they go shopping..My Dad moved in there about 2 months ago and he absolutely loves it, it gives the family a piece of mind knowing that their loved ones are very well taken care of…my Dad also said all the meals they serve are delicious…I would highly recommend The Homestead to anyone looking for an assisted livingenvironment…they are the best, And it’s one of the cleanest places I’ve ever seen… Becky P.

I’ve been working in the Northern Nevada senior care community for a couple years now and have had the pleasure of working with these wonderful people. They truly about their residents. During COVID they did everything to keep everyone safe and help the residents communicate through video or windows with their families which helped their mental states. There are 2 options in Fallon. The Homestead is far superior in every aspect to the other option. The ‘home’ is clean, bright and cheery. All the residents seem well cared for. Carpets need to be replaced or cleaned. Staff is always nice and helpful, food looks great. It’s the cleanliness or lack of that bothers me in the common areas. And there seems to always be a big change over in staff, which is not a good thing. Also, when you check in, you have to answer all kinds of questions in regards to COVID, that needs to be removed from the check-in & check-out device. (I’m updating my review to a 4-star) Skyline did contact me and is working on the items I mentioned in this email. Staff is great and my Uncle does enjoy it there and says they treat him very well. I didn’t want this to be a bad review, just a couple things that needed to be addressed. T C

I really like the Skyline facility. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I feel like my father is in a good place with lots of support and activities for him to enjoy. My grandmother lived at Skyline for many years in the early 2000’s and now my moms lives there. My grandmother was very happy at Skyline and we felt the care and support were so good that it was an easy choice when we decided my mom needed to be somewhere with additional care. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is abundantly evident that they care about their residents. They made it easy for us to make the arrangements and coordinate the move in (which was much appreciated because I live several hours away). There are tons of activities and the rooms are generous in size. I consistently hear that the food is good and it’s great that the residents meet monthly with the head chef to provide feedback and suggestions. The safety protocols are also top-notch: to my understanding there have been zero COVID cases at the time of this review (September 2021). My mom is doing very well at Skyline and we are grateful as a family to have such a great option for her to continue to live and thrive! Signe S

My mom needed extra care after falling twice at my home. The plan was to keep her with me for the rest of her life. But with her mild dementia and Parkinson, that was no longer a safe option here. Like so many people, I had to choose my mom’s safety over my desire to have her stay with me. Her doctor, my family and friends agreed that mom needed more care than I could provide. She needed around the clock care. Finding the right home for mom was a major headache. I interviewed a few places and even used a service that places loved ones. But, I still felt as if I would have to contact every care home in a 30 mile radius. Some places were remote, too far towards Sacramento or had only a few clients. I wanted mom somewhere close by, that had more people, activities, a nice setting and most importantly, a nice staff. I made an appointment with Liz at Sierra Ridge. I told her what I was seeing at other places and what I needed for mom. Liz was upfront and helpful in answering all my questions. I met Joe the administrator and was impressed with his kindness and true desire to insure that all his clients are well taken care of. Mom has been at Sierra Ridge now about 6 months. I go by 2 to 3 times a week so have gotten to know most of the wonderful staff. Mom has had a few emergencies and I received a phone call on those occasions promptly. Even with small issues mom was having, they have kept me informed. I so appreciate the staff at Sierra Ridge. Mom is truly loved there, and I see the staff treat all the other clients the same. I have asked mom quite a few times how she is doing there, as have my siblings and other relatives. Mom says that everyone is so nice there and that she gets good care. My mom is high functioning and quite aware. My mom’s happiness during her final years is what is important to me. Gregory B.
Sierra Ridge took wonderful care of my Dad. I researched and visited many facilities, and they were clearly the best. The staff are knowledgeable, ethical, and most important, they really care about their residents. They included our family in decisions, and provided my Dad the highest level of service. I have been the Director of Memory Care at the Renaissance, which is the counterpart of the Life & Leisure Activities Director position. I have had nothing but the best experience during all of my time here with management, coworkers, families, and residents. The management team truly care for everyone, and are always offering a helping hand to all departments. The Renaissance team feels like a second family to all of us, and we are all treated as such. Management and team members work well with eachother to ensure a positive, supporting atmosphere greets every person who walks through our doors. My mother has been here since September of 2018. This is honestly the best place I could ever imagine. I expected issues to come up at some point, because they would anywhere and you just work them through. We have experienced nothing but exemplary assistance from the staff and management. They check on her every night , in the middle of the night. They are so personable with her. They regularly keep me aprised of any issues. Each staff member is nicer than the last. I have yet to meet someone that I feel is less than professional. The activities are wonderful. My mother keeps herself so busy. Best of all she is healthier than she was when she arrived in September because she is so happy. I truly love and appreciate this place so much. Ray M.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the people have been who have taken care of my mother, who has Alzheimer’s and is in the Memory Care unit, for more than a decade. My mother first lived in an Assisted Living room back in 2003 but about a year later, she wandered and needed to be moved to the locked area.Over these many years, we’ve seen changes and improvements, but what has remained the same is the spirit of treating our loved ones in their care as family. The caregivers work hard to keep everyone clean, safe, relaxed and comfortable as if they were in their own home. It’s not easy, at all, but the effort is there and I have never seen a cross word directed at a single resident. The administrators care and are responsive. They appreciate that you bring up issues so they can be resolved quickly. You can come visit any time and are made to feel welcome. And the activities directors work hard to bring variety to the residents, including tailoring specific activities to a person if they had a special interest earlier in their lives.I especially want to note Mary O’Dell, who helped us transition our Mom into McLoughlin Place and who still keeps an extra eye on her for us. Mary is the epitome of of all that makes us trust McLoughlin Place–a professional who knows how to handle tough situations, like when we had to move Mom from her independent apartment to a shared room in the memory care unit. I was so worried about Mom’s reaction to this, but Mary stepped in and told me to go on home after I got the room all ready, and she took Mom back personally and eased her into her new living situation. Problem solved! She is warm and caring and also facilitates Alzheimer Support Group meetings for the families, so people can share their feelings as their loved ones move through various stages of the illness. We learn about the latest research and tips on how to treat our loved ones who need to be approached differently now that they have memory issues.Another person to mention is Lynn, the hairdresser, who takes care of so many people–she is a saint.A long review but I have had 12 years of interactions at McLoughlin Place and I wanted to share them. I recommend McLoughlin Place highly. No elder facility is perfect, but I do think they try their best to do a good job including training their employees well and treating them well.Perhaps I should mention that my mother has been on Medicaid for much of the time she has been there–she spent down her funds long ago–but she has never been treated less than others who have more means. I am absolutely thrilled with my experience with the staff and experience I have had with Arbor Rose!! I have placed my mother here and she LOVES it!!! She has dementia, and needs help with multiple physical and medical things as well as prompting and direction because of the dementia. But I also love that she is encouraged to be independent with the things she can still do! She is finding purpose and friendships. She is a retired nurse and loves to dote on and “help” her fellow residents, in a way that makes her still feel valuable. So while she needs as much help now that I cannot give… she is in an environment to receive that, but can give it, even if it is simply helping pull out a chair at meal time for her fellow cottage mate. My husband lives in Arbor Rose. He has lived there now for a few years. His care got to the point that I was no longer able to care for him on my own. Hi. I have moved my mom recently, I have to update this review because I saw incorrect information was posted. Probably old management time issue was there but not anymore. I never had problem of finding parking and staff was always smiling and relaxed even during busy time. That tells me employees are well treated, if they are not happy how would they deliver good service to our parent , their tenants. Remodeled facility are so clean like at least 3 star hotels and their coffee is excellent quality. For assistant living facility the dining is the most important event and better than my expectation. linda S.

I unfortunately had to place my mom in memory care after caring for her in my home for 7 years. This was a very difficult decision. Mom has been there a little over 1 1/2 years and I have to say that I’m am very pleased. Mom loves it there! When I have visited the staff are very sweet to her. She always seems clean. The facility is clean as well. They have been doing a very good Job during Covid and been following the rules, hover very sensitive to the family and those emotions as we go through the lockdowns.I would recommend this facility to anyone that is need a place for their loved one. My mother-in-law made very close friendships with the residents and staff over the three years she lived at Glade Avenue. The staff helped my wife understand dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and made recommendations to improve her mom’s quality of life. When my wife had surgery and could not visit her mom for two months, the staff assisted with phone calls and gave my mother-in-law an higher level of care and support to fill in. As her health declined the center graciously relocated her to their building with more care without raising her cost. I worked for cvsl for a year and ended up leaving do to the old management. I came back a year later once I found found out the old management had left. Everything has became so much better the new management is so much better they listen to there caregivers and the residents. During covid they handled everything the way they were supposed to too keep everyone safe and out of arms way. I couldn’t be happier to be back at a place where they Really care for everyone and put safety first average crypto J.

I love this place. It’s beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and my mom said the food was amazing! She loved Cascade Valley Senior Living. I liked the fact that when my mom first moved in, she lived on the assisted living side of the building. The staff loved her and treated her with the dignity and respect she deserved. Then as her dementia progressed, they kept a close eye on her. The staff and I had lots of hard discussions about moving her over to the memory care side, they were so helpful to me. They loved my mama too. Although it was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do, it was an easy transition moving her to the memory care side of the building with the help and support of the staff. It was easier for her as well, she already knew everyone. I would recommend Cascade Valley Senior Living to anyone who has that difficult task of finding a safe and loving place for their parent to live out the rest of their life. I have a friend who has lived in Caley Ridge for 10 years. Here are the most important things to know about it. If you are looking for a place with a lot of amenities – pool, workout facilities, etc etc – this might not be the place for you or your loved one. If you’re looking for a place that is clean, safe and pleasant, AND something that’s fairly affordable – this IS the place. My friend is on Medicaid and Medicare because of a brain injury suffered when she was a teen. Her Medicaid case worker told me that for someone on limited income, Caley Ridge is the BEST place in the Denver area. I believe it. Caley Ridge is in a nice area, right off Arapahoe Rd near I25. It’s clean. It looks clean; it smells clean; it’s recently remodeled and beautifully decorated. There is an exercise room for on-site physical therapy; they provide 3 hot meals a day; they organize onsite activities and have a couple of small buses for weekly shopping trips; they will arrange transportation to doctor visits. The staff is friendly and helpful, and my friend feels safe there. And a big plus – they meticulously followed all State guidelines for Covid-19 to keep their residents safe. That’s huge and speaks volumes to their commitment to protecting their community. I thank heaven every day that we were able to secure my friend a room at Caley Ridge. Don J.

My mother was just moved to Camry Ridge assisted living, and I found it to be an amazing assisted living community. Their cafeteria is a restaurant with service and food that I’ve never seen before. Their weekly excursions are enlightening and entertaining for the residents. Their in-house clubs/games/activities/church services/learning areas are inviting and energizing. It is very clear that they truly care for my mother, from the chef, to the nurses, to the caretakers, to the support staff, to the general manager. Such peace of mind to have Mom at Caley Ridge for 3 yrs now. The staff is kind and always there. When her cat passed away the staff came to give her hugs and support. I have helped one friend find an Assisted Living Community and now helping 2nd friend. I looked at many facilities and choose Caley Ridge. I love all the staff as they are friendly and someone is always there to answer all questions etc. They always greet you when you walk in the door.. My uncle has been a resident at Caley Ridge Assisted Living since May 2020. He has been quite happy overall with his caregivers, his room, and the larger facility. He has enjoyed the outdoor patio and has been grateful for the transportation provided by the facility to and from various appointments. As my family and I all live quite far away from Colorado, we were incredibly grateful for the warm welcome my uncle received when he moved in. Neither we nor his friends could visit him during his early months in the facility due to COVID-19 restrictions. Thus, the care team at Caley Ridge fulfilled many roles and tasks that would have been ours under normal circumstances. They really went above and beyond! Janette H.
No one will ever take care of your loved one as you do, but Caley Ridge comes pretty darn close. We had to make the difficult decision to move our sweet, soon to be 96 yr. old, momma to CR after the loss of her husband of 67 yrs, and in the height of Covid. It was overwhelming and ever so difficult for our family! And I have nothing but rave reviews for ALL at CR who went above and beyond for mom and all of the family to help in this huge move. She has been living in the Caley Ridge Community now for a yr, and the staff is incredible!! They couldn’t be more loving, kind, caring, and ever so attentive to her every need. Her 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for her, and is always clean and well taken care of. If ever a problem, they have been johnnie on the spot to take care of anything that has come up. She is enjoying tons of activities to keep her alert and physically strong, for which we are most grateful. She is safe and extremely well taken care of, which allows we 3 daughters to sleep at night! I moved my mom to Caley Ridge in 2017 after being at Sunrise Assisted Living for 17 years. We loved Sunrise and never thought anywhere else would measure up. Donna, Executive Director and Debbie, Director of Sales and Marketing went above and beyond to ensure my mom was comfortable, engaged and well cared for ever since.What was most impressive is how Caley Ridge handled the pandemic. They would spare no expense and sacrificed much to ensure the residents stayed safe and Covid-free. Every staff member (from the janitor to the nurse) was personally committed to the residents’ safety. This was a reflection of the Executive Director’s leadership and commitment to keep Covid out. I had piece of mind knowing my mom was safe at Caley Ridge.I highly recommend Caley Ridge to families that are looking for a community that truly cares about the residents and ensures their safety is the top priority at all times. When my father started showing signs of forgetfulness, I was concerned about him continuing to live on his own. I looked at many assisted living facilities in Denver and Caley Ridge stood out to me from the very start as a very welcoming place where my dad could get the care that he needed. My dad was not eager to move into assisted living but the transition was made much easier by Debbie and the rest of Caley Ridge by letting him pick out the apartment he liked, giving us a choice of services that best fit his needs, and overall welcoming him to the community. Dad has now been at Caley Ridge for five years and our whole family is thankful he is in a very positive situation and we have peace of mind that he is in a much safer environment with the appropriate care for his situation. Caley Ridge in Denver is a great Asst Living facility. Our 92 year old Mother has resided there for about 9 months. She started there during Covid19 and was isolated in her room due to state restrictions. The staff made sure she was welcomed and all needs were met. She always comments that the food is very good, especially the homemade pies! They always respond promptly to her requests. We appreciate their attitudes and are always positive. Thank you. irene B.
My brother has lived at Caley Ridge for only 3 months. He regularly talks about the delicious meals and the friendly, helpful, kind staff. He is happy there and already refers to Caley Ridge as “home”. Although an older facility, Caley Ridge is kept very clean. The young care staff is attentive with service-oriented attitudes! My brother is treated as an individual, yet his privacy is also respected. Front desk staff is/are “jewels.” They have been very helpful to us nonresident family for whom the assisted living concept is an adjustment, too! I researched other facilities as well but felt overall that Caley Ridge was definitely the nicest and had the most to offer with regards to activities etc. More importantly however the staff was amazing, especially the Director. If you are going into the nursing program or looking for a job that allows you to put your caring skills to work, this is the place.
