The state of California is responsible for ensuring regulatory standards are maintained in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly. These communities are also known as Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.
The state conducts licensure renewal inspections, otherwise known as surveys. These surveys are unannounced with review to ensure communities meet regulatory standards. When the licensure renewal survey occurs without areas of deficient practice, the community receives a Deficiency-Free Survey.
Kingston Bay Senior Living, managed by Milestone Retirement Communities, received a Deficiency-Free licensure renewal survey. Executive Director Paige Williamson commented, “We pride ourselves on the care and services that we manage and deliver for our residents. We are proud of our employees and for this survey of excellence and caring.”
