Paul W. Dendy is President of Milestone Retirement Communities, LLC, located in Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Dendy co-founded and is the Manager of each of the following entities in February, 2008.

Entity / Purpose

  • Vancouver Investments, LLC - JV Member along with equity partner to acquire retirement housing.
  • Milestone Retirement Communities, LLC ("MRC") - Management Company
  • Milestone Retirement Communities, LLC ("MO") - Lessee of Real Estate
  • Milestone Retirement Communities, LLC ("MD") - Development Company

These entities began operations on April 1, 2008 with management of 6 retirement properties in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Of those 6 entities, 5 are owned in part by Mr. Dendy and one is a third party management relationship obtained and nurtured by Mr. Dendy. In June 2008 the acquisition of Courtyard Towers in Mesa, Arizona will be completed and added to the management portfolio.

Paul was most recently President of LifeStyles, Senior Housing Managers, LLC in Vancouver, Washington ("LifeStyles"), which operated 16 senior communities with services including independent living, assisted living and dementia care totaling 1,600 units and 700 employees. In addition to overseeing all management activities of the company, he was active in business development, including acquisitions, development, construction, management contracts, leases and financing.

Paul has worked in the senior housing field since 1989. He has served as Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Development, Vice President of Acquisitions and Financing, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in several retirement housing companies, both privately and publicly owned, and ranging in size from 6 to 55 properties with up to 3,000 units. He has acquired or developed several dozen retirement housing properties. Previously, he had extensive careers in venture capital and public accounting.

He has been active within retirement housing industry groups and currently serves as the Chair of the Operator Advisory Board to NIC and is a member of NIC's Board of Directors.

Paul holds a BA in Finance and an MBA, both from the University of Washington.
