
Donald E. Anderson is Vice President of Milestone Retirement Communities, LLC, located in Vancouver, Washington. In this role he focuses on operations of the retirement communities under management, adding to that his expertise in care management and marketing of the properties. Mr. Anderson co-founded each of the following entities in February, 2008.
Entity / Purpose
These entities began operations on April 1, 2008 with management of 6 retirement properties in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Of those 6 entities, 5 are owned in part by Mr. Anderson and one is a third party management relationship nurtured by Mr. Anderson. In June 2008 the acquisition of Courtyard Towers in Mesa, Arizona will be completed and added to the management portfolio.
Don was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Clinical Affairs of LifeStyles, which operated 16 senior communities with services including independent living, assisted living and dementia care totaling 1,600 units and 700 employees. In addition to overseeing the global marketing and clinical activities of the company, he was active at the building level working closely with the Executive Directors and their teams in training and development of staff in programs aimed at delivering quality care in promoting resident and family satisfaction and insuring high occupancy.
Prior to LifeStyles in 2000, Don had been in the health care industry since 1975, most recently as Vice President of Support Services in a facility nationally recognized for its innovation in service delivery, and employee training and retention. His experience covers a vast range of disciplines having performed in management of senior housing communities, acute care hospital, physician office practices, medical office building, physician recruitment and training and development of care and support staff in both in senior housing and acute care.
In addition to his marketing and management experience, Don's passion is the training and development of employees to consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
